Asland Lodge / Asland Gardens, Tarleton
Date: Unknown
Notes:
Asland lodge - photo taken by Mr Jimmy Harrison local photographer was on the site of Asland Gardens photograph was owned by Mrs Ruth Taylor late of Asland gardens who along with her husband Mr Fred Taylor and their six children once viewed the lodge with a view to buy from the Alty estate. the house as far as I know was built by old Mr Henry Alty for him self and the two Miss Alty's. In the spring the gardens were full of daffodils and blue bells some of these trees are still standing. According to my mother Mrs Taylor the house was situated were the cul de sac and bottom few houses. The two Miss Alty's lived there after their fathers death and were often see travelling in a beautiful car. My mother remarked that they were like local royalty when she was a girl - she was born in 1925
